Colchester Shotokan Karate Club, located within the Colchester City Council area in Colchester, offers comprehensive karate training for a wide range of participants. This well-established after school club welcomes students of all ages and skill levels, from beginners as young as seven up to experienced 8th Dan black belts. Members benefit from instruction by a team of highly qualified volunteer black belt Senseis, with expertise spanning up to an impressive 8th Dan. These experienced instructors, including Sensei Tone and Sensei Paul, provide dedicated and helpful guidance, ensuring a supportive atmosphere for everyone's learning journey. Participation naturally fosters significant physical development, enhancing fitness, agility, strength, and coordination through structured martial arts activities.

New participants are invited to experience the club first-hand with four complimentary introductory lessons. Training sessions take place at the Colchester Academy School Sports Centre, conveniently located at Hawthorn Road, CO4 3JL. Classes are held on Tuesdays and Fridays from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm, providing a consistent schedule for ongoing development.

The club is a long-standing member of the Toyakwai Karate Association (TKA) and is also affiliated with the English United Karate Federation (EUKF, ensuring robust standards). This affiliation underlines the club's dedication to professional and well-regulated martial arts practice.
